With the integration of its sovereign artificial intelligence, Infomaniak now offers writing and email response assistance for users of its kSuite. Privacy and data protection are at the heart of this innovation.

Email Writing and Response Assistance by an AI

Infomaniak is gradually rolling out its new generative artificial intelligence in its instant messaging and email services. Thus, it becomes possible to generate new messages, respond to existing discussions, and correct spelling mistakes in your emails.

This AI integrates directly into the message composition window and functions as a writing assistant. With a single click, the user can ask the AI to rephrase a message in a more professional or friendly manner, shorten it, or enrich it with more details.

For example, by writing “Welcome Max to the UX/Design team,” the AI will immediately suggest a customizable version of the message. The writing assistant uses Infomaniak’s sovereign AI by default, but it is also possible to switch to ChatGPT to test the power of their solution.

The AI does not replace human intelligence but complements it

The goal of this innovation is not to replace human intelligence but rather to complement it by offering a wealth of possibilities that are constantly evolving. The future holds many more applications for this sovereign AI.

Respect for Privacy and Data Protection with Sovereign AI

Infomaniak emphasizes the importance of privacy and data protection in the development of its AI. Designed on an enhanced version of Falcon LLM, a powerful open-source model, Infomaniak’s AI relies on an infrastructure powered exclusively by renewable energy, using filtered air to cool servers and GPUs without air conditioning.

Thus, when using the writing assistant, requests made to the AI and user data are processed exclusively in Switzerland, in accordance with LPD (Swiss Data Protection Act) and GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) standards.

Starting in March 2024, the heat generated by Infomaniak’s new data center will be injected into the Geneva district heating network, thus contributing to ecological efforts and sustainable development.

Gradual Availability of the AI for kSuite Users

The writing assistant is also accessible via the free mobile app Infomaniak Mail, making it easier to use on the go. It is currently being gradually deployed to users subscribed to kSuite, the ethical collaborative solution that brings together all of Infomaniak’s productivity tools.

By the end of 2023, the goal is for all Infomaniak users to benefit from this assistant, including for the free email addresses offered by the independent Swiss provider.
